Privacy Policy & Personal Data Notice

This notice explains how Cosmolica processes personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar laws worldwide. The site is currently operated as a sole proprietorship without paid subscriptions or PDF sales; a future company transfer is planned.

2. Data we collect
- Account: username, email, password (hashed)
- Google sign-in: email and Google account identifier
- Birth records: name, gender, date/time and place of birth, coordinates for calculations
- Session & security: session cookies, CSRF, IP and browser data in server logs

- Contact form: name, email and message you submit
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Provide accounts and Vedic astrology tools — contract
- Security and abuse prevention — legitimate interests / legal obligation
- Email verification and password reset — contract
- Statistics and usability — consent (cookie choice “Accept all”)
4. Recipients and international transfers
We use hosting, email (SMTP), Google (OAuth, Analytics), Microsoft (Clarity) and MaxMind (GeoLite2). Some providers process data outside your country (e.g. US/EU) under their terms and applicable safeguards.
5. Retention
Data is kept while your account is active. After a deletion request, we delete or anonymise data unless law requires retention. Server security logs are kept for a limited period; retention periods are defined in our internal records.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object and data portability.
GDPR (EU/EEA/UK): You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your EU member state (or the UK ICO). A list of EU authorities: European Data Protection Board — members.
Turkey: If Turkish law applies, you may apply to us under the KVKK and, if needed, lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK Kurulu): kvkk.gov.tr.
Requests to us: info@cosmolica.com with subject “Privacy Request” from your registered email. We aim to respond within 30 days.
7. Account deletion
Self-service deletion in the dashboard is not yet available. Email us to delete your account and birth records; we will confirm when completed.
8. Security
We use HTTPS, password hashing, access controls and maintained software.
9. Children
Not directed at children under 16; we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes
We update this page with a new version date; material changes may be notified by email or on login.
