Examination muhurta selects a supportive moment for sitting an exam, test or interview, emphasizing mental clarity and recall. The scoring engine gives special weight to Mercury (planet of intellect, memory and communication) and Jupiter (wisdom and good judgement), alongside lagna strength, tithi, nakshatra and vara. Auspicious nakshatras for examinations include Ashwini, Mrigashira, Punarvasu, Pushya, Hasta, Chitra, Swati and Shravana — nakshatras linked to sharp intellect, focus and quick learning.

For examination muhurta, Rahu Kaal and Yamaganda are always excluded as hard blockers, while Dur Muhurta and Varjyam are flagged as warnings. The primary additional blocker is a debilitated or combust Mercury, which weakens concentration and recall. A debilitated or combust Jupiter, Kartari Yoga on Lagna, and Gandanta Moon also lower the window score. Rikta tithis (4th, 9th, 14th) are generally avoided; a waxing Moon (Shukla Paksha) with a strong Mercury and lagna best supports clear thinking during the exam.
